Weeerrrreee Back … Our Podcast is back and better than ever!

Weeerrrreee Back … Our Podcast is back and better than ever! Listen to Lisa and Jim chat about their general interests: spiritual, gluten-free & holistic living, green beauty, reality TV, fiction writing, and whatever else we’re into at the moment and of course Lisa's new novel, The Brooklyn Witch: The Battle for Brooklyn.

We have been busy in the new podcast studio and have launched Season 2 of our podcast: “The World According to Lisa and Jim Too!”

It’s available on Spotify, and you can follow the links and sign up to listen. It’s free!

We have been utilizing the brand-new podcast studio in the Oceanside Library, so the sound quality of the new season is excellent. Here is a brief synopsis of some of the latest episodes.

“Sundays, Meatballs and a Little Magic.” We introduce “The Brooklyn Witch-The Battle for Brooklyn.” We provide a brief overview of the novel and discuss some of the themes that shaped the world of the Brooklyn Witch.

“Stoops to Spells-Meet the Cast of the Brooklyn Witch.” We talk about the characters in The Brooklyn Witch, including the mortal and fey. The faeries, monsters, and regular people who interact both in the mortal veil and in the Magical World of the Never-Never.

“The Brooklyn Witch After Dark.” In which we talk about the Green-Wood Cemetery and its event celebrating the Harvest Moon. Spoiler! We weren’t invited to the event, but you can still enjoy this entry, where we talk about how the Green-Wood Cemetery figures into our story.

“Take The Cannoli and Fix the Plot.” We talk about plot versus pretension. Why the plot is the most important element of the story, and not the surface pretentious descriptions that so many people value instead of just the story. With examples from TV, movies, and literature.

“A Pop-Quiz about Pop-Culture.” We talk about lines, tropes, and motifs from popular culture that find their way into “The Brooklyn Witch.” Some are so ubiquitous that they make it into our everyday conversation.

"Location, Location, Location!" There's a version of Brooklyn that still exists, and sometimes it only exists in memory. Lisa and Jim discuss the real locations behind "The Brooklyn Witch." Will they touch on one of your memories?
