Join author Lisa Dolan and podcast co-host Jim for an entertaining, behind-the-scenes look at the creation of The Brooklyn Witch.
Together, Lisa and Jim will share the real Brooklyn locations that inspired the novel, the Irish folklore and Italian family traditions woven throughout the story, and how everyday neighborhood memories became the foundation for a magical world.
The Afternoon Will Include

- A lively conversation with Lisa and Jim
- An audience Q&A where your questions are welcome
- Behind-the-scenes stories about the characters, locations, folklore, and writing process
Whether you’re a fantasy reader, love Brooklyn history, enjoy learning about the writing process, or simply appreciate a great story, we hope you’ll join us for an afternoon filled with laughter, storytelling, and just a little bit of magic.
Everyone Has a Chance to Win!
Throughout the program, raffle tickets will be drawn for copies of The Brooklyn Witch: The Battle for Brooklyn.
Each raffle copy has already been personally signed by Lisa. After the presentation, she will remain at the library to personalize every winning book for its new owner.
Every raffle winner will also receive an exclusive “Take the Cannoli and Leave the Magic” keepsake sticker tucked inside the book.
And because every magical afternoon deserves a surprise, a few lucky winners will also take home one of Lisa’s handmade fabric book bags, created especially for this event.
